Experimented with bokeh this week. The tools used were Canon 550D, old 50mm 1.4 lens and creativity ;p.

The best part of shooting in RAW is the control you get over the image.  Over exposed imgae.

Week 2 of 52 - Coorg (travel log) - Part 1

This week I had the opportunity to go to Coorg with family. I have been to this place on three different occasions and to sum up this place i'd have to say it is filled with incomparable scenic beauty, lush green valleys, coffee plantations, teak wood forests, majestic mountain ranges and critters that really scare the living bejesus out of me.


I thought this would be a good opportunity to shoot some star trails but unfortunately we were greeted by thunderstorms.


I did manage to click some pictures and here they go and as always please do comment.

Week 1 of 52 - Shadow play

Here is my first post where I start off my 52 week project.

Shadow Play

I was just experimenting with low light photography and I really liked the end result which was not really what I was going for. I just found a little mask lying around at home and put it against a white paper background while using a flashlight to light the scene.

My 52 week project...

I have been procrastinating to start clicking and indulge in some creative photography for about six months now. Thanks to many photo-bloggers and this post on  Digital Photography School, I will be finally starting the 52 week project where I post a random picture clicked by me every week. I am doing this to learn to take better pictures and may be someday be a better photographer.

So today begins the journey or maybe in a week { old procrastinating habits die hard ;) }.

My first time....

I am one of those people who has been suffering from writers block without even writing. I've heard people start blogs for many reasons. One may want to talk about every intricate detail in their life (*yawn* bo-ring) or to help fellow human beings sort out issues from fairly simple to uber complex or may be all it takes is an assignment from a teacher with the power to grade a student.


Will be starting once I get acquainted with blogger  and now to experience my first time...PUBLISH POST!
